The short answer is, it depends on the length and the quality of the cable used. The original Motorola data cable was specifically designed for this charger, so you would have to do some experimentation to find out if a different cable would work. As cable length increases, it becomes necessary for thicker gauge power conductors to compensate for voltage drop. If the thickness of the gauge power conductor is not increased enough to compensate the voltage drop, the turbo charge will not activate.
Yes. The cable, which is included with the charger, is a full function USB 2.0 data cable that can transfer data between the phone and computer when connected.
To use this charger with the Moto Z, you need a USB to USB-C cable. The charger itself is capable of powering the Moto Z family, but this version ships with a micro-USB cable, so it will not work out of box for the Moto Z.
It works, but it will not turbo charge because the Moto E does not have the turbo capability. 15W will not be fully utilized due to the device’s ability to draw the power.
Yes.It will turbo charge Moto G5 plus.
No. The charger here comes with a micro-USB cable. Moto G6 or Moto G6 plus has a USB-C port. Please select the charger that comes with a USB-C plug cable.
While either version will turbo charge your Quick Charge compatible device, we recommend TurboPower 15+ as it is an upgraded version (QC 3.0 instead of QC 2.0). It is also a more compact package.
QC 2.0 voltage output is stepped (5, 9 or 12V) while QC 3.0 is variable and changes smoothly when used with a QC 3.0 device. That is, QC 3.0 is able to dynamically adjust the charging voltage over the battery charging cycle and allows the phone to request just enough voltage to reach the desired charge current, thereby QC 3.0 can be more efficient than QC 2.0. The energy efficiency allows the charger to charge faster than QC 2.0 with the same input power.

Troubleshooting

- Check your phone port to insure it is free of debris.

- Try using your charger with a different cable.

- Try plugging your charger into another outlet.

- Try your charger with a different device.

The USB Type-C connector is a reversible plug, which allows it to be plugged in either direction.

Please contact Motorola using the contact details provided on the customer support website at www.motorola.com/support.

You will receive instructions on how and where to ship the Product for assessment. We will generally need: (i) proof of purchase; (ii) a written description of the problem; (iii) the name of your mobile network service provider, if applicable; (iv) your address and telephone number. We will only use this information for the purposes of processing your claim under this Limited Warranty.

You will receive instructions on how to ship the Products, Accessories or Software, at your expense, to a Motorola Authorized Repair Center. To obtain service, you must include: (a) a copy of your receipt, bill of sale or other comparable proof of purchase; (b) a written description of the problem; (c) the name of your service provider, if applicable; (d) the name and location of the installation facility (if applicable) and, most importantly; (e) your address and telephone number.
